At Support Healing, we are all about healthful living. Our bodies naturally want to be healthy and balanced. With proper nutrition, regular exercise, and a consistent spiritual practice - we can help our bodies heal, return to wholeness and thrive.
This Resource page highlights best practices for restoring health and even reversing disease. We have included lists of some of the healthiest foods as well as encouraging holistic practices like breathwork, grounding/earthing (walking barefoot outside to feel and absorb the earth's healing energy), meditation and yoga.
Our hope is that, with consistent practice, you will begin and maintain your healing journey. Let's keep it simple and nourishing.
Hippocrates, the Greek physician widely considered to be the father of medicine stated: "let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." The key to good health is to keep the body in balance also known as homeostasis. Food is considered one of the most important and effective ways of keeping the body in balance and achieving homeostasis. Healthy eating is critical in achieving optimum health. It is crucial to include a variety of micronutrients (which consist of vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, and antioxidants) in your daily diet and food choices. Micronutrients detoxify your body and help to repair and protect cells against cancer and other diseases. Nutrient dense foods: the foods with the highest level of nutrients are fruits and vegetables. Green cruciferous vegetables and an assortment of rainbow colored plant foods contain the highest amount of protective compounds and will drive you towards achieving excellent health.
The food choices we make lay the foundation for our health. Let's make the healthiest choices possible!
